What the programme is

The programme adds battery storage next to SolServices' operating solar parks, so the batteries can share each park's existing grid connection. The first element was connected at Lumen Park Mezőtúr by July 2026.

Co-located storage lets a solar park shift midday output into the evening, avoid selling at negative prices and offer balancing services to MAVIR, which joined the European PICASSO and MARI balancing platforms in October 2026. The business case is set out in detail in the article on why SolServices is adding battery storage.
